Ann Wilson (aka Ann the Poet) is a stand-up, ukulele playing, lyric looping poet from South Cumbria. She’s a host at spoken word nights and two pub quiz nights. Ann  is the regular host at Apples & Snakes Spoken Word Open Mic at Brewery Arts Centre, Kendal. She has been performing poetry in festivals, theatres and on the street since 1995. She was very proud to win a Tough Guy’s Music Award for Best Solo Act in 2009 especially as it sounds so butch. She was South Cumbria Poet Laureate in 2006.
